Overcoming welding fatigue: the need for a more ergonomic solution
Raute’s welding team faced the challenge of using heavy, uncomfortable MIG torches that caused fatigue during long hours of welding. The need for a solution that could improve welding ergonomics and reduce strain was crucial to maintaining efficiency in their demanding production environment. Raute required a MIG torch that offered better maneuverability, lighter weight, and ergonomic support for their welders.
"The ERGOPLUS 500 MIG torch is much lighter, more flexible, and ergonomically designed, making long welding hours easier. The welders are very pleased with the improvement."
[Jouni, Welder, Raute]
Trafimet’s ERGOPLUS 500 MIG/MAG welding torch addressed Raute’s challenges by offering a more flexible and ergonomically designed tool. The welders immediately appreciated the lighter weight and improved flexibility, which made welding for extended periods much more comfortable. Jouni, welder at Raute, highlighted how the handle's design, which allows for easy adjustment of the welding angle, significantly reduced wrist strain. This made the ERGOPLUS 500 ideal for heavy-duty use, particularly when welding iron and lathe parts.
More recently, Raute tested recently the new ERGOPLUS 500R MIG welding torch model, which impressed the team with its even greater ergonomics. The ERGOPLUS R series is even more flexible thanks to the rotatable neck that improves control and reduces muscles' stress during long shifts. The addition of the ERGOPLUS R torch has further enhanced the comfort and efficiency of their welding operations. The welders found that the new model offered even better maneuverability, especially for precise work, confirming that the ERGOPLUS R is a valuable upgrade to their toolkit. As a result, Raute's production line has benefited from improved productivity and reduced strain on their team.
