Trafimet was founded in Castegnero in 1974 by Giampietro Zigliotto, who, using his experience of goldsmithing for the manufacturing of gold tubes using a wire drawing machine applied to copper, started to manufacture small metal items specifically for the welding spare parts industry.

In the 1980 1980’s Mr. Zigliotto, moved by a great business insight, decided to enlarge the range of products, manufacturing the first welding torches and to offer customised products adapted to the markets requests.

1990 In the 1990’s, the Company had a high capacity and knowledge fit to develop its offer by enlarging their range of products, with the introduction of the revolutionary Plasma cutting torches of particolar importance.

Contempora Contemporary Trafimet, with the emergence of the new generation, has assumed the role of managerial Company, establishing a series of overseas subsidiaries. A new philosophy such as “ to be and to do” Company becomes the common thinking of the operating resources in Trafimet.
